Born in Hertfordshire and raised in Suffolk to French parents with a family history in hospitality and the textile industry.

Amélie studied fashion design, specialising in womenswear, couture and visual merchandising before moving toward the more commercial practices of textiles print design. A fast-paced environment which rewarded a keen eye for innovation and trend, she produced motifs and embroidery designs that sold successfully to both luxury and high-street labels internationally.

In 2014 she founded Creative Pattern Studio which continue to deliver exceptional artwork and digital prints to both interior and fashion labels. During this time, she also held specialised positions at interior textile, print and fashion houses, allowing her to oversee the implementation of her designs into finished products, both printed and woven. These hands-on opportunities nurtured a new-found respect for textile and the application of fabrics: enabling her to appreciate not only their marketable value but also understand their intrinsic ability to exist as artwork.

Her passion for the physicality of woven fabric, combined with her history as a digital print designer, inspired the development of her current practice and fine art collection: one which seeks to replicate synthetic processes and digital techniques with natural pigments and traditional mediums.

At a time of increased consumption and awareness of human impact on the environment, Amélie looks to inspire others to consider their part in a global community by stepping back from mass, fad and throw-away society. She challenges people to slow down, respecting nature and understand the possibilities that it provides us.

Amélie is available for bespoke commission, murals, and collaborations.
